RED DEER COUNTY
RED DEER COUNTY IS PRIMED
FOR DEVELOPMENT
Red Deer County is a progressive region
located between two of western Canada’s
wealthiest cities, Calgary and Edmonton,
and offers a wide range of lifestyles and
industries. Its location along Alberta’s
busiest highway, the Queen Elizabeth II
(QE ll), offers a substantive amount of
opportunity for business investment in a
region with unprecedented growth.
The newest addition to Red Deer County
is Parrish and Heimbecker Limited’s (P&H)
new flagship facility. The $241 million
flour mill development is currently under
construction in the Hamlet of Springbrook.
The facility will be over 9,325 sq.ft. located
on 46.1 acres, and the build is expected
to be complete by the end of 2026. This
development will support farmers and agri-
food processors and is expected to attract
a range of ancillary businesses that will
support its operations. The County is proud
to welcome P&H to our region and looks
forward to a wonderful relationship.
Junction 42 is Red Deer County’s
premier business park, consisting of 290
acres, serviced by high-speed fiber optic
internet cable lines, transforming it into
one of the most economic and attractive
developments along the QE II with easy
access to major secondary highways. It
boasts over 500 Class 6 - 8 commercial
truck visits per day. In 2024, the new EQUS
central area office opened in Junction 42,
which houses 40 employees, along with
EQUS’ fleet and service yard.
Red Deer County has invested over
$30 million in fiber optic and high-speed
network throughout the County as well
as erecting six fiber fed wi-fi towers. The
importance of providing high-speed internet
for all businesses and ratepayers at the best
market prices continues to be a priority for
the County.
Drive from Township 372 to C&E Trail
will enhance the economic corridor
by providing an accessible and
affordable low-cost service model for
all airport users. A $4 million addition
to the terminal opened in September,
accommodating passenger capacity of
737 commercial flights.
The investment upgrades provide
over 200 acres of airside and
groundside development access to
the north end of the runway, bringing
