CITY OF LEDUC
CITY OF LEDUC
Leduc’s Newest Business Park Takes Flight
Located at the crossroads of air, highway
and rail, the City of Leduc is ready to assist
strategic businesses to set up shop or
expand. One of Alberta’s fastest growing
cities, now over 36,000 residents strong,
Leduc is directly accessible to the Queen
Elizabeth II Highway (QE2) corridor, and
adjacent to the Edmonton International
Airport (YEG).
GROWTH IN LEDUC’S KEY SECTORS
The three key economic sectors in Leduc
remain steady: oil & gas supply and
service, value-added agri-business and
logistics. Leduc's housing sector continues
to break records with no signs of slowing.
Leduc’s population has shown an increase
of more than 9 per cent since 2019,
supplying a valuable influx of talent to our
growing sectors.
In 2024, the City of Leduc worked with
the Edmonton International Airport and
Montana First Nation's Akamihk Medical
Clinic to expand services to provide first
and final-mile supports via drones. This is a
ground-breaking development for Canadian
transportation. The future of drone
delivery will be a more sustainable
commercialized mode of transport.
The extension of the route facilitates
the delivery of high-value, time-critical
products. The future goal is to deliver
final-mile packages for e-commerce
businesses, removing vehicles from the
road, reducing congestion and helping
control air pollution and emissions.
STRATEGIC INFRASTRUCTURE
INVESTMENTS IN LEDUC
2025 will be a milestone year for the
City of Leduc with the completion of
the 65th Avenue Interchange. This
critical infrastructure will support
the movement of people and goods
throughout the province with direct
connection to important transportation
routes (air, road and rail). The project
provides superior access to the existing
Leduc Business Park in the east and
serves as a new gateway to Leduc
Landing to the west, where 309 acres
of new commercial and industrial
opportunities exist right next to the
Edmonton International Airport. Anticipating
how transformational this project will be,
the City has already seen uptake in land
acquisitions and builds. For companies
wanting to get started before completion, a
few sites are still available east of QEII for
immediate purchase in the existing Leduc
Business Park.
OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
Leduc’s non-residential tax rate and
business parks make us one of the most
competitive and attractive markets to
do business in the province. Leading
permit approval processes, lauded at all
levels from local companies to provincial
leadership, means that your business is
seeing returns on your investment faster.
There’s no better time to experience the
Leduc advantage for your business. We are
ready to help you land in Leduc.
