The Social Enterprise Fund helps mission-driven organizations make differences in communities across Alberta

FOR JANE BISBEE, Alberta is home to an untapped wealth of potential. As the executive director of the Edmonton-based Social Enterprise Fund (SEF), she sees businesses in a different light: looking not only at their bottom lines, but at their broader environmental or social impacts, as well.
“We essentially are involved in social finance, which is making sure there are financial options available to organizations working to do good in the community,” says Bisbee.
SEF was created to provide financing options for projects and businesses that do good in Alberta. Since 2008, the fund has invested over $85 million in projects
